KSDS Class of 2023 Presents: West Side Story in Hebrew

Krieger Schechter Day School of Chizuk Amuno Congregation’s Class of 2023 proudly presents Sipur HaParvarim, West Side Story: All in Hebrew. A modern, musical adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet”, West Side Story presents the classic tale of a beautiful and impossible love story, against the backdrop of warring gangs and baseless hatred, set on the streets of New York City in the 1950’s. Ethnic tensions between the Jets and the immigrant Sharks lead to tragedy and finally remorse, highlighting the social problems and prejudice that still plague some communities today.
Parents Disclaimer: Parents, West Side Story contains some mature themes. Although there are no overt weapons, the show includes depictions of toned down violence.
This is the 30th musical performance to be shared by KSDS students and will be performed entirely in Hebrew to encapsulate their years of studying the Hebrew language.
