Bridges Lateral Entry Program

KSDS designed the Bridges program to help students who enter KSDS in grades 1 – 8 seamlessly transition into the school. We provide academic support in General and Judaic Studies for all new students and individualized attention for those with little or no background in Hebrew and Judaics. We also ensure a successful social transition by helping students and their families effortlessly integrate into the KSDS community. Here is what the program offers:

Complimentary Hebrew, Judaic, and General Studies Spring/Summer tutoring sessions
Sessions will either be one-on-one or small group based on grade, background knowledge and schedule.

Buddy families
KSDS matches new families with three current families based on student age and interests so lateral entry students have many opportunities to connect with classmates.

One-day August boot camp
Includes a crash course in navigating our hallways and routines as well as team-building activities to get comfortable with teachers and classmates.

Ongoing support: One-on-one consultations with the Director of Bridges Lateral Entry Program for students and families throughout the transition period.
