Public speaking is an integral part of the KSDS curriculum, helping students’ to develop confidence and poise. Each grade, including Kindergarten, presents a performance in General and/or Judaic Studies for peers and parents as well as grade-wide project presentations. Middle school students speak at admissions events, offer Torah readings, and lead in Student Council.
KSDS takes pride in treating female and male students equally, allowing them to learn and thrive together side by side. The School is also the only Baltimore Jewish day school that offers equal opportunities to all students.
A dual-language curriculum that teaches students conversational Hebrew starting in Kindergarten. 8th Grade students perform a broadway musical entirely in Hebrew - one of three schools in the country that offer this opportunity.
An emphasis on community service, to help students develop social responsibility and strong character. Students from all grades participate in many community service programs throughout year as well as individual service projects.
