“Unplugging from our devices and reconnecting with the people around us”
with author Tiffany Shlain

This is an open invitation from Krieger Schechter Day School and Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School to middle schoolers to join internet pioneer Tiffany Shlain , author of 24/6: The Power of Unplugging One Day a Week, as she discusses the importance of unplugging and its benefits. Read Slacker, by Gordon Korman or Click’d by Tamara Stone and join us for book talks and a Skype call with Tiffany.

Parents: Drop off your middle-schoolers and attend the FREE Book Talk from Mary Morris, Author of “Gateway to the Moon” at 7 p.m. (book signing at 6:30 p.m.) Author Mary Morris will talk about her novel that travels from 15th-century Spain, when Jews and Muslims were forced to convert or be expelled, to a sleepy 20th-century town in New Mexico.

Free & Open to all middle schoolers.  Join us to discuss the novels over a hot chocolate bar.
