Middle School on the Move for Sukkot

Middle School students are on the move for Sukkot!! During the intermediate days of the holidays, MS students participate in some fabulous sukkot-themed field trips: Grade 5 students spend a day at the Genesee Valley Retreat Center, learning about trust and community, and building their grade-level’s relationship with each other. Grade 6 students learn about Jewish laws related to harvesting and farming, in connection with the harvest festival of Sukkot, and explore all that Kayam Farm at Pearlstone Retreat Center has to offer.Grade 7 and 8 students join the wider Jewish community, celebrating Sukkot at Hershey Park! The park is closed to the public, and open to Jewish groups and families who wish to come, celebrate “z’man simchateinu” – the time of our happiness – and eat kosher meals in sukkot that are built all over Hershey Park. A wonderful chag sameach (happy holiday) was enjoyed by all!!
