Deaf Awareness Program

Two students from Towson University spent the day with our lower school students and teachers to help raise awareness to individuals in our community who have physical disabilities. The students from Towson University conducted workshops with our teachers and went into classrooms to talk to students about the deaf community and sign language. Pictured here: Hannah S.(2nd grader) signs with our guests the words to a Shabbat song, “Mah Yafeh Hayom” (How wonderful is this day) which was shared later int the day with the whole KSDS community at Ta’am Shabbat.
