7th and 8th Grade Spanish classes
After a restful winter break, students and teachers of seventh and eighth grades are back to Spanish classes with enthusiasm. In seventh grade, we are finishing our unit on telling time, and learning to describe people by combining adjectives with the verb SER. While we have fun looking for opposites and synonyms in this vocabulary, we are also reinforcing the concept of noun/verb/adjective agreement regarding gender and number. In eighth grade, we are continuing with the last chapter of our first textbook unit: The Family. We are reviewing vocabulary related to family and incorporating new terms, as well as groups of irregular verbs (stem-changing verbs). All of this will lead us to conclude with our popular 8th grade three-dimensional family tree project in Spanish!
