5th and 6th Grade Sukkot Trips
Students in grades 5, 6 and 7 went on some great field trips this month!
5th grade students just returned from a day at the Genessee Valley Outdoor Learning Center, where they worked in groups to complete team-building challenges. The light rain added to the sense of adventure, and by afternoon, the sky cleared and our students continued to have a great time! They experienced and learned about trusting each other, challenging themselves, and working together to solve problems.
6th graders headed out to Kayam Farm at the Pearlstone Retreat Center. As part of celebrating Sukkot, 6th graders participated in harvest activities and learned first-hand about the fragility and promise in connecting with agriculture. Students will continue to build this connection in the spring during their 4-day Teva nature experience as well.
