3rd Grade Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch is one of the exciting opportunities offered to third graders.  The students volunteer to be part of a group led by Dr. Suzy Saltzman, Lower School Psychologist. The group consists of approximately ten students, drawn from all three classes, and meets six times. The children eat lunch and play together on Mondays during lunch and recess.  Lunch Bunch focuses on developing various social skills, including sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others and successful ways of expressing oneself. This is achieved through discussions, role playing, and games. The group experience highlights developing the qualities of cooperation, empathy, leadership, self-confidence, teamwork, and friendship.
