1st Grade Trip to Flag House

First graders enjoy learning and being patriotic! First graders were thrilled to see the large glass window display of the Star Spangled Banner flag with fifteen stripes and fifteen stars at the Flag House in downtown Baltimore. The children excitedly went on a scavenger hunt, identified artifacts, played with toys from the 1800″s, and visited the home of Mary Pickersgill (the woman who sewed the Star Spangled Banner flag). Learning first-hand is fun for our 1st graders.
