Storytellers Travel to KSDS

Our first graders made many new friends this week as they immersed themselves in their study of geography and world cultures. ESOL students from Patterson High School, trained in storytelling by KSDS parent and professional storyteller Jennifer Rudick Zunikoff, traveled to KSDS to share stories of their families and their homelands.  The children were enchanted by tales of loving relatives, childhood pranks and silly misadventures set in nations such as Eritrea, Nepal, The Congo, Dubai, Vietnam and El Salvador.

The Student Immigration Stories Project is co-sponsored by the Jewish Museum of Maryland and Baltimore City Public Schools.
