Boys Basketball – Tzedakah to Help Coach’s Family

One recent week’s tzedekah collection in the Middle School was coordinated by the boy’s basketball team. They met, assigned tasks, wrote announcements, collected the tzedekah, and counted the money, all to raise money to give to their coach’s son’s family, whose home was recently destroyed by a fire. The tzedakah money collected allowed the team to give the family gift cards to replace clothes, toys and other household items that were lost. Our generous community responded overwhelmingly with over $800.00 collected. We are very proud of the effort of the boy’s team and for the compassion and leadership which they demonstrated.
