3rd Grade Endangered Species Programs

It has been a thrilling week as the 3rd grade hosted 2 very special events — Biome Day and a visit from the Baltimore Zoo’s ZooMobile. During Biome Day, the students traveled the world, visiting grasslands and tundra, deserts and marshland.  In each center, the students conducted experiments to better understand the conditions under which the plants and animals of each biome live. When the ZooMobile visited, the students had the opportunity to see several animals in person and to learn about the adaptations the species have made to thrive in their habitats. The week’s activites integrated learning from Science, Social Studies, Math, Reading and Judaic Studies.
