Financial Aid
The Krieger Schechter Day School understands that becoming a member of our community is a substantial financial investment. Financial aid affirms our commitment to help make a KSDS education available regardless of a family’s economic means.
The program’s funding is limited, and while the school cannot guarantee aid, we strive to provide aid to the widest range of students our funds can afford. In most cases, families that receive financial aid awards will be expected to pay at least 50% of their tuition costs.
We believe that parents have an obligation to pay for the educational expenses of their children to the extent they are able. Therefore, every family is expected to have exhausted all financing avenues available to them before a financial aid grant is awarded. In addition, both parents are expected to work, to the extent they are able, to support the family’s tuition commitment.
Krieger Schechter uses FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment (FGAA) to help determine the need of a family. This process is used by thousands of independent schools throughout the country.
Please contact the Office of Admission for more information or an application. Note that applications for aid must be submitted by late February.
